Wendy Kay Clark, age 69, is no longer struggling with her health battles as of July 5th, 2025, she was in the company of family as she finished her journey. Wendy was born to the late Carl and Belva (Shank) Bucher on October 15, 1955, in Bucyrus, Ohio. Wendy is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Paul Bucher and Raymond Bucher.
Wendy is survived by sons, Steve (Katy) Parker and Tom (Amanda Sturtz) Clark; long-time special friend Gary Drake; brothers Tom (Wilma) Bucher and Herbert (Judy) Bucher; sisters, Pauline Jacobs, Janet Zeger, and Becky (Larry Nye) Smith; grandchildren, Kipton, Breylee, Justin, Kellar, Dylan, Liam, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wendy worked at AO Smith/Westinghouse for 30 years. She then went on to get an associate’s degree from Marion Technical College in Social Services and obtained a bachelor's degree in sociology from Ashford University. She then began working at Child Care Choices, and eventually with MAP in Marion, where Wendy finally retired in 2022.
Wendy had a heart of gold and never knew a stranger. She loved spending time with her many friends and family, while she also made sure to give back to the community. Wendy would sew gowns for breast cancer patients, scarves for the homeless, and making/serving meals to seniors and the homeless. Some of her favorite activities and pastimes included sewing, gardening, baking, wood carving, iron working, crocheting, garage sale shopping, or finding neat thrift shop finds for friends and family. Wendy for many years enjoyed camping at Sunset Springs with her sons and always looked forward to their family trips to Cedar Point.
