Virginia “Ginny” May Shelt
December 31, 1969 — February 7, 2018
Biography: Virginia “Ginny” May Shelt, age 85, passed away peacefully Monday February 5th at Firelands Hospital in Sandusky Ohio. Virginia was born to the late Cleo and Anna (Clady) Beattie October 23, 1932 in Crawford County. Virginia is preceded in death by parents; husband, Ralph Shelt; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; daughter, Anna Marie Spaide; son, Leslie Shelt; and daughter-in-law Mary Shelt
Ginny is survived by son, Raymond E. Shelt; grandchildren, Heather (David) Freed, Shawn (Tanna) Spaide, Laura Spaide, and Tracy Howard; great-grandchildren, Tyler Howard, Jordan Howard, and Mackenzie Howard; son-in-law, Robert Spaide; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ginny was very active in the community. She visited the local senior center to play cards. Ginny was a Girl Scout Leader for a number of years. She was on the Camp Michael Board for more than 25 years. Ginny assisted with the Red Cross Bloodmobile for 20 years. She also loved to go camping and was involved with multiple card clubs.
Services will be Thursday from 11AM to 1PM at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Brokensword Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Association or Diabetes Association. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
