Trellis J. "T.J." Miller

Biography: Trellis J. "T.J." Miller, 92 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday February 4, 2019 at Carlisle Place in Bucyrus. Trellis was born November 27, 1926 in Galion, OH and was preceded in death by his parents George P. and Elma (McClure) Sukup. He was married November 10, 1950 to Janet Irene (Auck) Miller.
Trellis is survived by his wife and children, Sandy (Larry Helm) Miller of Hudson OH and David (Kate) Miller of Delaware, OH; as well as grandchildren Christine, Alex, Kimberly, Jessica, and Joseph.
T.J. lived most of his life in Bucyrus and graduated from North Robinson H.S. in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army. Trellis began work driving a cement truck for W.A. Lutz and then as a Milkman for Smooth Kool Dairy. He retired from Western Southern Life Insurance Company in 1986 after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ since he was 5 years old. Trellis was an avid RV enthusiast and camped for many years throughout the country. Following retirement he and Janet enjoyed going to Florida in the winters, traveling and playing tennis. More recently he was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:30 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Platt officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the St. John's UCC and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
