Thomas Edward “Wolfman” Shuster, 67, of Brokensword, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 18, 2026, following a lengthy illness.
Tom was born on January 27, 1959, in Galion, Ohio, to the late Ken and Marion (Kurtz) Shuster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Phil Shuster and his brother-in-law Tim Mahley.
Tom is survived by the love of his life and devoted wife of 50 years, Cathy (Harris) Shuster; his sons, Wesley (Crystal) Shuster of Brokensword and Chris (Peggy) Shuster of Sycamore; and his cherished grandchildren, David Lawrence, Kaleigh, and Jaxson Shuster. He is also survived by his brother, Ken (Nancy) Shuster; sisters, Beverly (Dave) Foltz, Barb (Ray) Young, and Bonnie (Jimmy) Miller; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
Known to many as “Wolfman,” Tom lived life with the spirit of the open road in his heart. An avid motorcycle rider and talented builder of custom Harley-Davidsons, he spent more than 30 years working alongside his father-in-law, creating bikes that reflected both his craftsmanship and his passion for freedom and adventure. Whether riding down a country highway or gathering with friends around a garage, Tom found joy in the motorcycle community and the friendships it brought him through the years.
Tom also had a deep appreciation for classic cars. Above all else, however, his greatest pride and happiness came from his family. He treasured every moment spent with those he loved and shared a special bond with his dogs, Bella and Jake.
Tom will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, unmistakable personality, and the love he gave so freely to family and friends. His memory will live on in every rumble of a Harley engine, every backroad ride, and every story shared by those fortunate enough to know him.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service. In honor of Tom’s laid-back spirit and love of motorcycles, the family kindly asks those attending to dress casually or wear Harley-Davidson attire..
