Thomas A. Perkins, 65 of Galion, passed away on Monday July 28, 2025, at O.S.U. Hospital in Columbus following a 2-year illness. Tom was born May 9, 1960, in Bucyrus to the late Marion Perkins Viola Mae (Kintz) Perkins. He was also preceded in death by maternal grandparents Rudolph and Lela Marggraf and sister Nancy Jo-Ann McLaughlin.
Tom was married October 20, 1985 to Jean (Walter) Perkins who survives along with four daughters, Vanessa Perkins of Gahanna, OH, Amy Perkins and Galion, Melinda Perkins (Josh Prosser) of Galion, and Candice Perkins (Caleb Pierce) of Findlay, OH; grandchildren Alex, Emily, Lydia, Jase, and Bentley; siblings Darlene (Donald) Johnson, Richard (Denise) Perkins, Robert (Pattie) Perkins and David ( fiancé Crystal Rhodes) Perkins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom lived most of his life in Bucyrus and was a lifelong machinist retiring from Ryder-Heil Bronze last August. Tom spoiled his grandkids and enjoyed attending their baseball games. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and tinkering as he could fix anything.
At Tom’s request there will be no formal services. The Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com. The family suggest memorials be made in the form of contributions to the Crawford County Sportsmen and Gun Club, 3121 Biddle Rd., Crestline, OH 44827.
