Thomas K. Bucher, 87, of Bucyrus, was surrounded by his family when he passed away Thursday November 6, 2025, following a brief illness. Tom was born in Bucyrus on January 14, 1938, to the late Carl F. and Belva Mae (Reynolds) Bucher. He was married on January 1, 1983 to Wilma (Conner) Bucher who survives. Tom is also survived by children Jill (Scott) Anderson, Traci (Eugene) White, Benjamin (Shannon) Trausch, and Jennifer (Michael) Parsell; grandchildren Tiffany (Joe) Dyar, Derek (Rylie) Anderson, Jordan (Andre) Turner, Travis Souders, Hunter Trausch, Emma Kupfer, Maggie Weir, Samantha and Jackson Farrar, Damen (Isadora) Parsell, and Justese Parsell; great grandchildren Lucy, Anderson, Griffin, Omari, Aalyah, Andre, Peyton, and Presley; brother Herb Bucher; and sisters Pauline Jacobs, Janet Ziegler, and Becky Smith. He is also survived by his two beloved dogs, Max and Missy. Tom was preceded in death by brothers Raymond and Paul, and his sister, Wendy Clark.
Tom lived in Bucyrus his entire life and grew up helping on the family farm. He retired from Swan Rubber after 35 years, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and Life Member of the AMVETS Post #27. Tom enjoyed collecting NASCAR memorabilia, traveling the United States with his wife Wilma, and reading Westerns, especially Louis L’Amour books.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 15, 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oceola Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
The family suggests memorials be made in the form of contributions to the Crawford County Humane Society, Wounded Warriers, or Avita Hospice. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
