Terry Lee Shaffer, age 76, passed away surrounded by family December 6, 2023. Terry was born in Windber, Pennsylvania September 21st, 1947 to the late Gerald Earl and Wilda Maxine (Blattenberger) Shaffer. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Mike Reynolds and grandson, Devin Schuetz, nephew Jarrod Pierce.
Terry is survived by his wife, Shirley (Reynolds) Shaffer; stepchildren, John (Jackie) Brady, Michelle Brady, and Chris Shaw; brothers, Gregory (Leslie) Shaffer and James (Tina) Shaffer; step-grandchildren, Tyler Brady and Gage (Kristy) Brady; great granddaughter, Elliett; nieces and nephews, Kristin (Karl) Roseman, Bryan (Catherine) Shaffer, Bret (Raquel) Shaffer, David (Natalie) Shaffer, Daniel (Kathleen) Shaffer, Karyn (Mike) Wilson, Kristy (Matt) Spaeth, Salina Pierce, Bethany (Kevin Wasik) Pierce; great nieces and nephews, Chloe, Caden, Eleanor, Amelia, Logan, Isabella, Anna, James, Danny, Maggie, Austin, Ryan, Luke, Jake, Joey, Mikey, Axl, Sophia, Marshall, Madeline, Stella, and Molly.
Terry worked for 20+ years at Marion Power Shovel as a welder and then went on to retire from Eagle Crusher from welding as well. Terry was an American Navy Veteran and had served two tours during the Vietnam conflict. Terry was a lifetime member of the Bucyrus Amvets, was an American Legion member, and a former VFW member. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
There will be a celebration of life service at the Amvets in Bucyrus, Saturday January 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at the Western Reserve Military cemetery in Rittman Ohio. Memorials may be made to the donors choice. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
