Sue Dever Headley

Sue Dever Headley, 87 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday November 19, 2025 at Carlisle Place in Bucyrus. Sue was born October 4, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late William H. and Ethel (Benson) McCall. She was married January 6, 1978 to Rev. Harry W. Headley who preceded her in death February 14, 1998. She was also preceded in death by daughter Deb (Dever) Idleman and brother William B. McCall.

Sue is survived by granddaughter Kylie Aldaz of Mesa Arizona; great grandson Grayson; son-in-law Jeff Idleman; and 4 step children, John, Kathy, James, and Joseph; as well as step grandchildren.

Sue moved to Bucyrus in 1973 and taught school for 36 years in Oklahoma City and Syracuse New York prior to moving here. She taught first grade for Bucyrus City Schools. Sue attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1963. Sue was a member of many school associations while teaching and was also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Sue had attended First Presbyterian Church.
