Shirley Mae Shaffer, age 73, passed away at home, June 22nd, 2026. Shirley was born to the late Marion Fletcher and Francis Marie (Salyers) Reynolds April 9, 1953 in Bucyrus Ohio. Shirley married Terry Shaffer June 25th 1997. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Shaffer; brother, Michael Reynolds; and grandson, Devin Schuetz.

Shirley is survived by children, John (Jackie) Brady, Michelle Brady, and Chris Shaw; sister-in-law, Penny Reynolds; grandchildren, Tyler (Thomas) Brady and Gage (Kristy) Brady; great-grandchild, Elliett; nephew, Craig (Michelle) Reynolds; and her fur baby companion, Trixie.

Shirley was a graduate of the Bucyrus High School class of ’71. She retired from Timken after 30+ years. Shirley was also very active with her Church. She was a member of the Ladies of Amvets Auxiliary, and a former member of the American Legion post 181 and VFW post 1078. Shirley enjoyed crafting, making homemade cards, and birdwatching, especially hummingbirds. She loved spending time with her family and having family meals. She will be missed by all that knew her.

The family invites friends up to Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Saturday, June 27th, from 10AM-12PM for a celebration of life service. There will be a service at 12PM at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Following the service, a meal will be provided at the Amvets Post 27. Interment will be at Rittman Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project foundation.
