Sherry Marlene Powers, 78 of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly on Monday September 4, 2023 at Avita of Bucyrus surrounded by her family.  Sherry was born October 4, 1944 in Columbus, OH to the late Edward Zimmerman and Betty Louise (Andrews) Kelly.  She was first married to Ronald McAdow who preceded her in death in 1983.  On October 25, 1999 she married Paul Powers who survives.  In addition to her parents and former husband, she was preceded in death by sister Joyce Diana Adkins, granddaughter Ashley Angelica McAdow Beveridge and two brothers.

Sherry is also survived by son Ron McAdow of Bucyrus and daughter Ginny (Marshall) Beveridge of Waldo; Stepchildren Angela Rayborn and Ryan Powers; grandchildren Dustin (Donyel) McAdow, Casey (Chelsea) McAdow, Amanda McAdow, and Miranda Beveridge; great grandchildren Makenze, Madelyn, Maria, Greyson, and Olivia; brother Bob Mitchell as well as nieces Jodi Adkins Williams, Missy Adkins, and Betsie Adkins Kenner.

Sherry graduated from Indian Lake High School in 1962 and was retired from the Crawford County Clerk of Courts.  She was a lifetime member of the AMVETS Post 27 Ladies Aux., member of the Sad Sacks #127 Bucyrus, Eagles of Upper Sandusky, and the American Legion Post 181 Ladies Aux.

Sherry enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the next door neighbors kids and grandkids (the Markley’s) who lived next door.  Sherry also enjoyed traveling with the Amvets, watching her grandkids sporting events, The Ohio State football team, jeep rides to spot deer, eagles and watching her hummingbirds.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  Ohio State attire is welcome.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sad Sacks Nursing Fund through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
