Shelva Jean Robinett Wadlington

Shelva Jean Robinett Wadlington, 77 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.  Shelva was born February 5, 1947 in Pike County, KY to the late Reyford and Mildred (Wolford) Blankenship.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life partner Darold Wadlington on August 27, 1993;  brothers Ronny, Danny, Tommy, Kenny, infant sister Gertrude, and brother in law George Coop.

Shelva is survived by daughter Kim Showers and son Tony (Nicole) Robinett; grandchildren Logan, Whitlee, and Jessica; brothers Carl (Pam) Blankenship and Keith (Leslie) Blankenship; sisters Vivian (Ernest) Weimer, Judy (Albert) Snyder, and Gail Coop; nieces and nephews that she helped raise Rebecca, Alex, Dustin, and Brooke Blankenship as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

Shelva moved to Bucyrus when she was 18 years old and worked as a hairdresser with Kim’s Hair Designs.  She was a former member of the AMVETS Aux. and enjoyed playing Bingo. Shelva also enjoyed standardbred horses and harness racing.
