Ruth W. Wiegman

Ruth M. Wiegman, 98 formerly of Chatfield passed away peacefully on Saturday November 25, 2023 at Altercare of Bucyrus.  Ruth was born March 20, 1925 in Chatfield Township to the late Lewis J. and Ellen (Kibler) Wiegman.  She is survived by cousins.

Ruth graduated from Chatfield High School in 1943 and was the last remaining in that class. She worked for many years at Servies Store in Chatfield and was a lifelong member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church where she was a former choir and council member.  Ruth served as a Sunday School pianist as well for many years.  Ruth was a servant of God and was very faithful to her church throughout her life. 

Being born and raised in the first part of the last century, Ruth was frugal and very conservative.  She made a point of eating one Hershey Kiss a day.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Nazareth Lutheran Church with Pastor Kevin Mohr officiating and burial to follow in Nazareth Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to the Nazareth Lutheran Church Capital Improvement Fund or the Nazareth Lutheran Cemetery Fund.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
