Ronald Frederick York Sr.

Biography:  Ronald Frederick York Sr., 79 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday evening at Westbrook Assisted Living in Upper Sandusky.  Ronald was born Sept. 10, 1936 in Greenfield, MA to the late Raymond A. and Rita Ogena (Barnish) York.  He was formerly married to Sarah Ellen (Nordyke) York who survives.  Ronald is also survived by children Anna Koehler, Ronald F. York Jr., Sheila K. (Larry Zoll) York, Michelle Swinehart, and Tracy Lynn Wagner; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1 sister.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Lilly May Cummings and brother Raymond York.
Ronald last worked at American Wire in Bucyrus where he retired in 2012.  He was a former member of VFW Post 1078 in Bucyrus and was of the Catholic Faith.
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-3 pm.  Graveside Services will be held in Old Mission Cemetery on Monday at 2:00 pm with Father John Miller as Celebrant.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com.
