Robert A. Traxler

Robert A. Traxler, 84 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday September 21, 2026, at home following a brief illness. Robert was born December 4, 1941, in Bucyrus to the late Robert E. and Luella (Reynolds) Traxler. He was married May 22, 1976, to Diane (Tieben) Traxler who preceded him in death on April 24, 2019. He was also preceded in death by brother-in-law Robert Clinard, nephew Jared, and beloved dog “Ace”.

Robert is survived by children Cheryl Loftis of Sycamore, Keli (Joe) Mitchell of Zanesville, Teresa (David) Garza of NC, Gary (Shelly) Traxler of Bucyrus, and Laura aka “Jake” (Charles) Eckert of Byhalia; grandchildren Mitchell, Benjamin, Dustin, Markie, Morgan, Erin, Jordan, Dylan, Nick, Olivia, J.T., Christopher, and Ashley; great grandchildren Gage, Cali, Naomi, Lillie, Leslie, Colt, Aubrey, Addylyn, Chloe, Finn, Lydia, Waylon, and Connor, and one on the way; his special care giver, sister Cindy Clinard of Bucyrus, as well as numerous nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from Mt. Zion H. S. in 1959 and retired from Timken 29 years ago after working 36 years. Following retirement, he never missed a Tuesday meeting “the GOFClub” with his retired buddies that included his good friend Paul Usher.

Bob enjoyed going to Lake Erie with his family and friends, and in his younger years enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, and boating.

At Bob’s request there will be no formal services, and his cremains will be interred in the Oakwood Cemetery Columbarium. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com.
