Robert E. "Bert" Kline

Biography:  Robert E. “Bert” Kline, 82 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday evening at home.  Bert was born Feb. 3, 1934 in Bucyrus to the late Robert E. and Eva C. (Yanka) Kline.  He was married May 26, 1962 to Sherrie (Sorg) Kline who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Matt Kline, sisters Dorothy Wilson, Marjorie Peabody, and Evelyn Fairchild; as well as brothers Jack, Raymond, and Richard.


Bert is also survived by daughters Joyce (Ron Bloomfield) Dunn, Bucyrus; Judy (Denny) Enders, Bloomville; and Patti (Gary) Schifer, Bucyrus; grandchildren Casey (Kasey) Gillen, Cory Gillen, Nick (Jessica) Enders, Adam Enders, Jordan Thompson, and Kylie Thompson; great grandchildren Brady, Brody, and Lexi Enders, Seth Daulhausen; sisters Rosemary Hord and Betty Jean Straub both of Bucyrus; very close friend Roger Sturgeon of Bucyrus; and pet dog “Abbie”.
Bert was a lifelong Bucyrus resident and graduate of Bucyrus High School in 1952.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea.  For many years Bert was very active in Fast Pitch Softball playing for Garvin’s, Rays Pizza, and Pearson in Marion, a Semi Pro and traveling team. Bert was an avid golfer in Bucyrus and the surrounding area.
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Sunday Oct. 2, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.  Prayer Services will be held at the funeral home at 4:45 pm followed by the Military Rites provided by the American Legion.  The family suggests memorials be made to Home Care Matters Hospice and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
