Robert "Bob" Elwood Quaintance

Robert “Bob” Elwood Quaintance, age 77, passed away at home surrounded by family July 30, 2026. Bob was born to the late Russell and Genevive (Buckwald) Quaintance December 21, 1948 in Bucyrus Ohio. Bob married the love of his life, Marilyn Quaintance December 29, 1975. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Marilyn Knappenberger, Edna Zeigler, Vera Lohr, Jimmy Quaintance, and Anna Cooper.

Robert is survived by wife of 50 years, Marilyn Quaintance; children, Shane (Chelsie) Quaintance, Neia (Dennis Shipp) Quaintance, and Tina (Mike) Keinonen; sisters, Esther Miller and Sharon Clady; grandchildren, Gracie Quaintance, Earl C. Jefferson III, Aziana Jefferson, Shyheim Choate, De’Nazia Quaintance, Alexis “Lexi” (Prestyn Taylor) Farnwalt, Asher Farnwalt, Beaux Keinonen, Kyle Farnwalt, Darius Shipp, Maleea Dean, and Miriah Dean

Bob was an Army Veteran and had fought in the Vietnam War. Bob worked for 39 years at Swan Rubber. He started in Pin and Pull, moved into the hazardous materials department, and had finished in facility maintenance. He loved his family dearly, spending time with them any chance he got, taking the grandkids to school was always the highlight of his day. He enjoyed spending time on the computer, playing video games, and was always sharing funny Facebook reels. Bob loved talking politics, rooting for the Cleveland Indians, and watching old westerns. He was always a great narrator when watching anything on TV, and he will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

The family will receive friends at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Friday August 7th from 12PM-2PM. A service will follow the visiting hours at 2PM. With interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
