Raymond B. Morrow

Raymond B. Morrow, 94, of Bucyrus, Ohio passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2026 in Granville, Ohio. Raymond was born February 2, 1931 in Bucyrus to the late Amos and Jessie (Decker) Morrow. He was married February 10, 1952 to Hazel (Newman) Morrow who preceded him in death on September 24, 2017. He was also preceded in death by brothers Norwood “Sonny” Morrow and James Morrow; sisters Bernadette McCoy, Marilyn “Kitty” Winsor.

Raymond is survived by children Dan (Kristeen Witter) Morrow of East Anollee, Georgia and Karen Harris of Granville, OH; grandchildren Troy Morrow, Rachael Newsom, Ryan Harris, and Erin Harris Fraizer; great grandchildren Taylor McCall, Sadie Plaister, Isabelle Morrow, Gabrielle Morrow, Xavier and Sienna Harris, Emilia and Adalyn Fraizer; as well as great great grandchild Grady McCall.

Raymond was a decorated Korean War Veteran, surviving the conflict as one of the "Chosin Few," men who were involved in the Chosin Reservoir engagement. After completing his military service, he continued to be engaged as a member of the American Legion Post 181 in Bucyrus where he led the Bratwurst Parade as part of their flag corps for many years.

Ray retired from the Timken Company as well as being owner of Hillcrest Motel and providing home rentals. He was President of the Motel Association in the late 1960’s and 1970’s. Raymond started the first C.B. Club in Bucyrus with Clarence Eidson where, in addition to advancing the radio community, they collected and distributed toys for children in the early 1960’s.

Raymond was also a Mason with the Bucyrus Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 12:00 noon in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Biddle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
