Peter Joseph Mullen, 91 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday March 11, 2026, at home. Peter was born October 25, 1934, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Peter and Ann (Romac) Mullen. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, one niece, and many friends.

Peter is survived by children Brigid (Jeff) Pack, Peter (Shinobu) Mullen, Tara Mullen and Nora Mullen; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Peter worked in the steel mills in Pittsburgh and was a graduate of Duquesne University. He loved the Military and was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He moved to Bucyrus in 1981 and served for some time as the Crawford County Health Commissioner.

Being born in Pittsburgh, Peter loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and marched there in the Veterans parades. He was a member of the VFW Post 1078, the AMVETS Post 27, and the American Legion Post #181.

Peter had many hobbies that included traveling, auctions, athletics, gambling and taking care of his pet dog “Sam”. Most of all Peter enjoyed and loved his family and being with friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday March 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Emaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 E N Broadway St., Columbus, Ohio. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
