Norma J. Monk

Biography: Norma J. Monk, 79 of Bucyrus went to be with the Lord on Monday December 30, 2019 at O.S.U. Medical Center in Columbus.  Norma was born August 25, 1940 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Amos L. and Rosabelle (Green) Skaggs.  She was married July 22, 1957 to James C. "Chet" Monk who preceded her in death on August 31, 2017.  Norma was also preceded in death by daughter Stephanie and siblings Anna Lee Beneze, Tillman Skaggs, Minnie Keaton, Mary Harris, and Joyce Ann Skaggs.
Norma is survived by son Timothy (Elizabeth) Monk; granddaughters Jessica (Todd) Brown and Cassandra (Nathan) Stover; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers Arthur Skaggs and Paul Skaggs; brother in law Darrel (Susie) Monk and sister in laws Mildred (Dave) McClintock and Bertha (Bill) Hosler.
Norma was a homemaker and loved to help others.  She was a faithful member of the Bucyrus Church of God.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Bucyrus Church of God with Pastor Cherie Ferguson officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
