Obituary

Norma L. Frost, 87 of Bucyrus, passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2026, at home. Norma was born November 18, 1938 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Glenn and Julia (Patrick) Longbrake. She was married July 28, 1957, to A. Roger Frost who preceded her in death on December 21, 2020. She was also preceded in death by brother Bob Longbrake, sisters Phyllis Ries and Janet Bogardus; and brother in law Russell Frost.

Norma is survived by daughters Kathleen Frost and Deborah (Phil) Lazar both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Chris, Jerred (Summer), Josh (Michelle), Patrick, Lauren (Kyle); and great grandchildren Ashton, Marlie, Mia, Gunner, Camden, Layna, Bronson, Duke, and Shep; her grand dogs Cooper and Scarlett; sister and brother in law Judy and Torch Kinney of Kenton; and brother in law Burke Ries of Marion.

Norma grew up in the Kenton area and graduated from Kenton High School. She and her husband Roger moved to Bucyrus in 1959. She retired several years ago after working 25 years for the Bucyrus City School District. Norma was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and the Bucyrus Elks Lodge # 156. Following retirement, she volunteered for meals on wheels and at the information desk at the courthouse. Norma also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Schiefer officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com

The family suggests memorials may be in the form of contributions to the Elks National Foundation or the Crawford County Council on Aging Transportation Department.
