Michael F. Dewiel, 76 of Bucyrus passed away early Sunday October 25, 2026, at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Mike was born on September 25, 1950, in Bucyrus to the late Russell Leroy and Jane F. (Haala) Dewiel. He was married October 7, 1988, to Joyce (Myers) Dewiel who preceded him in death on January 10, 2020. He was also preceded in death by sister Patty Dewiel.

Michael is survived by son John (Jodie) Dewiel of Lima; daughter Angie Dewiel of California; stepson Richard Banks of Bucyrus; grandchildren Nichole, Makayla, Johanna, and David; great grandchildren Ledger, Damon, Maddox, Greyson, Emerleigh, and Lincoln; step grandchildren, Ariahne and Owen; brother Jim Dewiel of Oklahoma; and sister Mary Dewiel of Bucyrus.

Mike graduated from Bucyrus High School and retired from Transco over 10 years ago. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting, watching western movies (especially Clint Eastwood), playing video games, and most of all being with family.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
