Mary Gretchen Rice

Biography: Mary Gretchen Rice, 87 of Columbus passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2020 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital . Mary was born March 31, 1933 in Johnstown, PA to the late William and Anne (Allen) Strehler. She was married March 17, 1956 to Robert Rice who survives. Gretchen was preceded in death by daughter Ann Marie Rice in 2012.
Gretchen retired in 1994 as a School Nurse in the Columbus Public School System. She graduated from the O.S.U. School of Nursing and received her Masters Degree from Ohio State.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Union Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, OH. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill@hotmail.com
