Marva Quaintance

Biography: Marva Quaintance, age 81, passed peacefully surrounded by family December 27, 2017. Marva was born to the late Thurman and Leota (Sites) Gobrecht October 1, 1936 in Bucyrus Ohio. Marva is preceded in death by parents, husband Robert Quaintance, and son, David Alan Quaintance.

 


Marva is survived by children, Carrie (James) Bailis of Canton, Brenda (Ora Stulley) Harris of Bucyrus, Nancy (Jeff) Groves of Nevada, and Daniel (Diana) Quaintance of Bucyrus, sisters, Sharon Vinson, Arlene Wise, and Judy Short, brother, Robert (Kathy) Gobrecht, as well as five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


Marva has been a resident of Bucyrus her whole life. She graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1955. Marva then went on to get a nursing degree from Tri Rivers Marion General Hospital School of Practical Nursing. She worked with Fairview Manor as an LPN until 1996 when she retired. Marva also managed JoAnn Fabrics and owned the Mode-O-Day dress shop. She enjoyed puzzles, was an avid reader, loved her trips to Hawaii, and most importantly spending time with family.


Visiting hours will be at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home from 1-3 and 5-7 Tuesday January 2nd. Services at the funeral home are Wednesday January 3rd at 11 AM. Memorials may be made to American Kidney Foundation. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
