Biography: Marlene V. Suter, 80 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday March 21, 2016 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Marlene was born March 19, 1936 in Lykens Twp. to the late Elzo Young Stucky and Mabel Ellen (Broede) Stucky. She was married Oct. 8, 1960 to Richard Suter who preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1990. She was also preceded in death by brothers Dwight, Daryl, and Dale Stucky.
Marlene is survived by sons Stephen G. Suter, Bucyrus and Jonathan (Julie) Suter of Nevada; grandchildren Hillary (Rick) Horsley, Bucyrus; Katie (Jason) Kruse, Caledonia; Jordan (Nicole) Suter, Shelby; Benjamin Suter, Nevada; and Ethan and Evan Suter both of Bucyrus; great grandchildren Addison and Paelyn Horsley and Jaxon and Johanna Suter; brother Duane (Sue) Stucky, Marion IL; sister Mardale (Jim) Aurand, Lykens; sister in laws Jeannine, Margie, and Rita Stucky, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marlene lived her entire life in this area and graduated from Lykens H.S. in 1954. She last worked at Wynford School for over 20 years. Marlene was very supportive of her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sporting events. She was a member of the Bucyrus First Alliance Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the First Alliance Church with Rev. William Strader officiating, burial will follow in Lust Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship, The Salvation Army, the CAFMA, or the First Alliance Church through the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
