Loretha Slaughter

Loretha Slaughter, 69 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday May 31, 2024 at Altercare of Bucyrus.   Loretha was born August 9, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to the late William Slaughter Sr. and Irvena (Pickens) Slaughter.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter Margaret Marie Slaughter and brother William H. Slaughter Jr.

Loretha is survived by children James Earl Thompson Jr., Jameka Thompson, Billy, and James Slaughter; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Erving, Elliot, and Dwight; sisters Eva, Ruby, Valarie, and Linnie; aunt Lilliam Pettiford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Loretha lived in Bucyrus for several years and last worked in housekeeping at the Bucyrus Hotel.
