Larry W. Riley, age 81, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on November 3, 2026.

Larry was born on August 5, 1945, to the late Bruce Riley and Mary (Riley) McElhaney. He was preceded in death by both his parents; his brother, Gary Riley; and his sons, Eric Huntsman and Bruce Riley.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sue Riley; his children, Wendy Riley (Cheryl Riley), Matt Riley (Maryann Stefonik), Kim Clark (Ian Kaiser), and Bobby Riley; and his grandchildren, Logan Wyss, Ashton Clark, Adriana Clark, Logan Kaiser, Jace Reaume, Lane Riley, Cade Riley, Eliza Semer.

Larry was a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School in North Robinson, Ohio and a member of the U.S. Army for seven years. After his military service he was a contractor by trade, an avid coin collector, and someone who enjoyed working with his hands. One of his favorite pastimes was tinkering with his beloved 1966 Mustang.

Above all, family was the most important part of Larry’s life. He treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, often sharing stories, reminiscing about the past, and creating memories that his family will cherish for years to come. His love for his family and the time he spent with them will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but the stories he shared, the memories he created, and the love he gave his family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 6th from 4PM-6PM at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. There will be a celebration of life service following the visiting hours at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
