Larry G. Borders

Larry G. Borders, 83 of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 12, 2025 at home following a brief illness. Larry was born August 27, 1941, in Ulysses, Kentucky to the late Everett and Marie (Hall) Borders. He was married June 25, 1961, to Faye (Farrow) Borders who preceded him in death on November 16, 2021. He was also preceded in death by sister Patricia VanHoose, brother-in-law James Kelly VanHoose, brother Everett Borders Jr., and sister-in-law Judy Borders.

Larry is survived by daughters Carla (Wes) Rice of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Melanie (Gary) Campbell of Mansfield; grandchildren Anthony (Stephanie) Rice, Corey (Amber) Campbell, Cody Campbell, Mitchell Miller, Mariah (Johnathan) Miller, Larry Campbell, Eryn Campbell, and Cindy Rice; great grandchildren Hayden, Caleb, Breyonia, Ryleigh, and Liam; brothers Harold (Phyllis) Borders of Gahanna, OH, David (Madonna) Borders of Hilliard, OH, and Dan Borders; sister Pamela (Jim) Bevins of Ulysses, Kentucky, brother in law George VanHoose of Kentucky; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Larry retired in 2004 from PPG in Crestline after 43 years. He was a faithful member of the Walker Lake Baptist Church in Mansfield. Larry graduated from Franklin Heights High School in Columbus and played softball for several years. He enjoyed mowing grass and yardwork as well as bluegrass gospel music. Most of all, Larry enjoyed his grandchildren and his church.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 17, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Walker Lake Baptist Church, 1602 Walker Lake Road, Mansfield with Pastor Jack Williams officiating and Pastor Lou Ashworth assisting at the graveside in Union Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, OH. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
