L. Jeanette Parker, 78, of Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from lung disease. Jeanette was born July 27, 1947, to the late Ira Burton Williamson and Ima Jean (Griffith) Williamson in Bucyrus. She married Gilbert “Dip” Parker Jr. on June 8, 1973, who proceeded her in death on April 26, 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanette is proceeded in death by brother David Williamson and step-sons, James and Jack Parker.

Jeanette is survived by children, Georgia (Richard) Sanders of Beaumont, Texas, Randal Giles of Hotchkiss, Colorado, Traci Zellner of Bucyrus, and Alycia (Anthony) Yates of Plain City; grandchildren, Jodi Williamson, Rebecca Williams, Katy Sanders, Owen and Ross Zellner, Zoe and Julian Yates; great grandchildren, Jaxson Lewis, Gannon and Locklan Williams; brother, Paul (Tammy) Williamson of Shepherdsville, KY; aunt, Mary Sue Griffith of Tennessee; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jeanette graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1965. She had worked for Dr. David Karg as a Dental Assistant and for several years with the Bucyrus Telegraph Forum in the advertising department. Jeanette retired from Fairview Manor in Bucyrus. She was a member of the former First Baptist Church and served on the Diaconate Board for several years. Jeanette was active with Colonel Crawford Band Parents from 1988-1995 and was known as the “Band Mom” as well as being involved with the Colonel Crawford Youth Girls Summer Softball program. She was also a former member of the Colonel Crawford Lions Club and enjoyed crocheting, reading non-fiction books, and was obsessed with British Royalty and history.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program.
