Kimberly Ann Rudd

Kimberly Ann Rudd, 59, of Bucyrus, Ohio passed away peacefully with her loving husband beside her on Saturday, August 15, 2026, following a 7-year battle with breast cancer. She was a fighter in every sense of the word. Even through years of hardship, she continued to show up for the people she loved. She never let circumstances define her.

Kim was born on September 4, 1966, in Galion, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Carol (Wilson) Graham. She married the love of her life, Matthew Rudd, on October 14, 2000. He survives her. The greatest example of never-ending love and commitment to each other and their children, their love was something for the ages. Through sickness and health, they loved each other deeply and always served as each other's biggest fan.

She is also survived by her loving daughters whom she was incredibly proud of and whom she loved with her entire being: Sara Wheeler (Adam Albers) of Columbus, Ohio and Emily (Austin) Stevens of Republic, Ohio. She is survived by grandchildren Walter and Iris Albers. Additionally, she is survived by brother Kevin (Linda) Graham of Prattville, Alabama.

Kim graduated from Wynford High School in 1984 and worked for over 30 years at the Crawford County Board of Elections, where she culminated her career of public service as Director. She was passionate about democracy and politics and believed strongly in the power of using your voice to advocate for your passions and beliefs. Kim served on the Democratic Central Committee for many years, continuing to fill her heart with policy and action for many years after. She loved supporting her daughters in the Crawford County 4-H program. She spent countless hours at barns, livestock shows, fairs, and events. She wasn’t just watching her girls from the sidelines, she was their biggest cheerleader in every aspect of life. She loved being a mom and a GramGram more than anything in this world. Her long-awaited grandchildren, Walter and Iris, were the light of her life. She adored “her babies” and fought so hard just to see them grow. Her family was her greatest accomplishment. Her favorite times were spent poking fun, joking, and laughing with her family. She had the best sense of humor. Even in her last moments, she smiled and laughed with her family. She will be missed more than words can describe, but she is at peace with Jesus and her loving mother and father.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 6:00pm at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends from 4:00pm until the time of the service.
