Karen Sue Knapp

Karen S. Knapp, 78 years of age, passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2026, at Altercare of Bucyrus. Karen was born October 8, 1947, in Galion to the late Hiram and Mary (Leonard) Poland. She was married to Richard Knapp who preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by daughters Michele Welge and Karrie Knapp.

Karen is survived by children Richard (Laura) Knapp of Galion and Tonia (Richard “Rich”) Barlow of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren Jami (Andrew Weston) Barlow, Colton Welge, Trey Barlow, Tracy Welge, and Amelia Heston; one great grandchild Barrett; as well as one brother Dale of Indiana.

Karen graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1965 and Tri Rivers in 1985. She worked as an LPN in Florida and Ohio and last worked for Dr. Wood in Galion.

Karen loved her pet dogs and enjoyed crocheting blankets, baking pies, and working on Diamond Dot Projects.
