Joyce E. (Lyons) Spiegel

Joyce E. (Lyons) Spiegel, 85 of Bucyrus passed away peacefully on Monday March 4, 2024 at Kingston of Ashland.  Joyce was born July 13, 1938 in Cranberry Twp., Crawford County, to the late Thomas D.   and Harriett (Luidhardt) Lyons.   She was married December 21, 1957 to Wayne F. Spiegel who preceded her in death on October 13, 2007. She was also preceded in death by son Frederick A. Spiegel; sisters Margaret Hildebrand and Lois Blaney; and brothers Bob, Ray, Glen, Roger, Charlie, and Rich Lyons.

Joyce is survived by children Debra K. McClain of Mt. Gilead, Rebecca (Paul) Windsor of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Ed Spiegel of Galion; grandchildren Lana (Patrick Sunderhaus) McClain, Elizabeth (Michael Minuck) Al-Mansur, Mohammad (Janie Hampton) Al-Mansur, Amanda (Nicole Mellick) Spiegel, Allen (Brittany) Spiegel, Christopher Spiegel, William (Alice) Spiegel, Mark (Chelsea) Weaver, Nick (Amanda) Metzger, E.J. (Ellery) Spiegel, and Amber (Kyle Adams) Spiegel; 18 great grandchildren; daughter in law Tamara Spiegel; sister Sandy (Tom) Kellogg; sister in laws Sandy Lyons, Helen Lyons, Caren B. Robles-Lyons, and Jennie Lyons as well as many nieces and nephews.

Joyce graduated from Holmes Liberty High School in 1956 and was very active in organizing the class reunions for several years.  She retired after 34 years from United Bank (Park National).  Joyce had been very active with the Bucyrus Little Theatre for many years.  She loved reading and her grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 11, 2024 at noon in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ridgeton Road with Pastor Don Neumann officiating, burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Little Theatre Scholarship Fund.   Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
