Joyce A. Wagner

Biography:  Joyce A. Wagner, 78, went to be with the Lord May 7, 2016 after battling an extensive illness. Joyce was born August 21, 1937 to the late Howard and Inez (Gearheart) Zucker in Attica Ohio. Joyce was married with Arthur Wagner for 46 years, May 2, 1970 being their anniversary date. Joyce was preceded in death by parents and granddaughter Rebekah Wagner.
Joyce is survived by husband Arthur Wagner; children, Chris (Susie) Leuthold of Ontario OH, Mitch (Karen) Leuthold of Bryant IN, John (Deb) Leuthold of Bucyrus OH, Ron (Amy) Wagner of North Robinson OH, Heather (Chris) Kuk of Hillard OH; stepsons, Jeff (Karen) of Circleville OH and Allen (Rose) of Bucyrus OH; brother, Robert Zucker; sister, Eunice (Gary) Smith, as well as 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce was employed with Swan of Bucyrus for a few years and then moved to retail to help at the Lazarus in Mansfield. Joyce was a very active member at the Chatfield Evangelical Pietist Church. She taught Sunday school there for a number of years, youth and adult. Joyce was also an Avon Lady for a short stint. She was involved with Chatfield’s Mothers Club, Christian Women’s Fellowship (CWF), and Chatfield High School Alumni which put her in charge of multiple classes reunion planning. Joyce was also very helpful with the grandkids, she would take them to practices, events, plays, and anything they were doing she wanted to help out where she could.
Family will be receiving friends Wednesday May 11, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Thursday, at the Pietist Church Evangelical of Chatfield at 11 am. Interment at Salem Cemetery, Larry Bertsch officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pietist church. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
