John D. McFarland

Biography:  John D. McFarland, Jr., 54 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday Nov. 25, 2016 at home following a brief illness.  John was born July 26, 1962 in Bucyrus to the John D. McFarland Sr. of Marion and the late Virginia “Ginny” (Loyer) McFarland.  In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Grace and Virgil Loyer and paternal grandparents Ralph and May McFarland. 


John was married Aug. 10, 2001 to Deborah S. (Auck) McFarland who survives.  He is also survived by sister Beth Scott of Marion; 2 half brothers, one of Marion and one of Bucyrus; and numerous step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


John was a Warehouse Manager and last worked for BC&G Weithman.  He loved to ride motorcycles and in particular his Harley Davidson.  John also enjoyed music , his friends, and the fall of the year.


A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 2, 2016 in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home at 3:00 pm with Rev. Julie Fairchild officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
