Joan M. Dunn

Joan M. Dunn, 89 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday September 12, 2025, at Altercare of Bucyrus. Joan was born November 16, 1935, in Green Springs, Ohio to the late Glenn and Eileen (Glick) Bordner. She was married by her uncle Rev. Myron Glick on July 31, 1955, to Paul T. Dunn who passed away on October 12, 2009. She was also preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Gene and Joyce Bordner; sister and brother-in-law Avonelle and Larry Andrews; and brother in laws Harold Stinehelfer and Leroy Dayringer.

Joan is survived by sisters Annabelle Stinehelfer of Bucyrus and Juanita Dayringer of Freemont, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan babysat for kids at a young age and graduated from Lykens High School in 1955. She helped her husband Paul farm for 30 years and retired from the Timken Company in 1995 after 39 ½ years.

Joan was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and had been active in the Women’s Guild. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and camping throughout the United States. She volunteered for some time at Fairview Manor and was an incredible seamstress and mother to all.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Schiefer officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon on Monday until the time of the service.
