Jerry Lee Cooperider Jr., age 42, passed away at home May 16, 2026. Jerry was born to Jerry Cooperider Sr. and Lori (Cole) Gekler January 19, 1984 in Galion Ohio. Jerry married Tamara (Miller) Cooperider August 29, 2017. Jerry is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lowell and Bonnie Cooperider and uncle, Stanley Cooperider; fur baby, Sofee.

Jerry is survived by parents, Jerry (Pam) Cooperider Sr., Lori (Rance) Gekler; stepfather, Robert (Suzette) Gekler; wife, Tamara Cooperider; children, Jaylyn Cooperider, Marissa (Harley) Hamilton, Rickey (Hunter) Griefenstine, Kyle (Jenna) Carr, Toshia (Mitchell) Slone, Rebekkah (Brandon) French, Phillip (Amanda) Amerine, and Dylan Cooperider; grandparents, Bertha (Wayne) Rinehart and Kenneth Cole; grandchildren, Owen Hamilton, LeAnn Pollitt, Jimmie Pollitt, Jasmine French, Anastasia Slone, Maxwell Slone, and Kolt Griefenstine; brothers, Kyle (Shelly) Gekler and Michael Cooperider; aunt, Lois Weston; as well as his fur baby Zeus.

Jerry loved going out with his best friends and loved going out for his Thursday shenanigans with Carl Ginter and Jake Mcgowon. He was a member of the Amvets post 1979 in Galion Ohio. He enjoyed going fishing, rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and spending time with his family. His family was the most important thing to him. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
