Jeffrey C. Massie

Jeffrey C. Massie, age 63, of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly due to health complications on Friday, August 14, 2026. Jeff was born February 9, 1963 in Bucyrus to the late Carroll C. and Anna (Hendrickson) Massie. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mark, and sisters Brenda Massie and Debbie Briggs.

Jeff is survived by his three daughters- Leianna (Casey) Bussell of Carmel, Indiana, Elise (Braxton) Tea of Bucyrus, and Madelyn (Alex Bowling) Massie of Shelby; grand-daughters Vera, Serena, Ana, and one expected grandchild; brothers Curt (Jean) Massie of Sycamore and Roger Massie of Nevada; sisters Tina (Brian Johnson) Bloomfield of Florida, and Pennee (Brian) Coffman of Bloomville; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Jeff graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1981 and lived in the community his entire life. He was formerly a longtime owner of the Horseshoe Bar in Bucyrus. Jeff was very creative and enjoyed many hobbies, including woodworking, collecting and shooting guns, shooting pool and darts, coaching several of his daughters’ softball teams, cooking, and painting. He enjoyed spending much of his time with his faithful best friend, Cindy Holman. Most of all, Jeff was a proud and loving father to his daughters, and Papaw to his grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 20, 2026 at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com.
