Janis E. Beattie McCombs

Biography:  Janis E. Beattie McCombs, 95 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday at Altercare of Bucyrus.  Janis was born February 12, 1923 in Bucyrus to the late Forrest and Mary (Montee) Beattie.  She married William McCombs on Jan. 22, 1949 and he preceded her in death July 15, 1980. She was also preceded in death by son in law Jack Smith and two sisters Mary Cady and Joyce Stuckman.


Janis is survived by daughter Diane Smith and son Craig (Pam) McCombs; grandchildren Amy MacLean, Roni (Mike) Bloomfield, Chad (Tracee) McCombs, and Shelly McCombs; two step grandchildren Ashley (Shaun) Knecht and Brian Auck; twelve great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Janis was a Bucyrus High School Graduate in 1940 and attended Nursing School.  She was employed as an LPN at Bucyrus Community Hospital for 44 years.  Janis loved any and all animals and spending time with her grandchildren.
