Jack Leroy Ballantyne

Biography:  Jack Leroy Ballantyne, age 87, went to be with the Lord March 26, 2018. Jack was born to the late Ellwood Homer and Flora Malinda (Speidel) Ballantyne June 26, 1930 in Marion Ohio. Jack is survived by loving wife of 56 years Shielda Rose (Jett) Ballantyne. Jack is preceded in death by parents.

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by children Jeffery (Dawn) Ballantyne and Amy (Troy) Darcy; grandchildren, Hannah and Evan Darcy; sister, Iris Jean Ballantyne.

Jack worked with Marion Correctional Institution until retirement on October 30, 1998. He served in the Army from 1951-1954 during the Korean War. He was involved with farming for more than 40 years. Jack was licensed for Amateur Radio and it was one of his favorite pastimes. He and Shielda are also members of the United Methodist Church.
