BUCYRUS, OHIO - Jack Binnix, a beloved figure in the Bucyrus community, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023, at the age of 66.

Born on September 21, 1956, in Bucyrus, Jack was the son of the late Jack and Doris (Boore) Binnix. He grew up in Bucyrus, attending Bucyrus City Schools graduating in 1974, where he was known for his warm smile, friendly personality, and passion for sports. After graduating from high school, Jack attended Fairmont State University.

Jack was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who prioritized his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kim Binnix; his sister Beth (Louie) Zamora and his children Steve, Joe (Abbi), and Jeff; and his cherished grandchildren Madden, Madisyn, Knox, Mila, and Kennedy, Father and Mother In-law, Bill and Ruth Williams, and several nieces and nephews. His family was his pride and joy, and he left behind a legacy of love and commitment that will forever inspire his loved ones.

In addition to his roles within his family, Jack worked at Bucyrus City Schools for 33 years and was a mentor and coach to many. His kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and his impact on the community will be felt for generations.

Jack also had a passion for WVU and Ohio State football and the outdoors. He could often be found camping with his grandchildren, watching the Browns, and enjoying fishing trips with cousins.

Friends and acquaintances remember Jack for his infectious smile, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and his unwavering commitment to his principles. He had the ability to bring people together, and he will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Gathering to celebrate Jack Binnix's life will be held at the Bucyrus Elementary School (245 Woodlawn Ave) on August 26th, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Family, friends, and community members are invited to honor his memory and share stories.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bucyrus City Schools Athletic Department or the Bucyrus City Schools Library in Jack's name, continuing his legacy of giving back to the community he held dear.

Jack Binnix will be remembered as a devoted family man, a compassionate friend, and a dedicated community advocate. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched. May his memory serve as a reminder to us all to live with kindness, generosity, and a deep love for our community.
