Helen Theresa Kirk

Biography:  Helen Theresa Kirk, 96 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday November 12, 2017 at Orchard Park Assisted Living.  Helen was born February 15, 1921 in Cleveland, OH to the late Abdo and Hessna Dagher.  She was married April 16, 1955 to Gerald M. Kirk who preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2007.  Helen was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.


Helen was the owner of Town and Country Beauty Shop (currently where H & R Block is located) from 1948 until 1969 when she retired.  She was a graduate of James Ford Rhoades High School and moved to Bucyrus in 1948.  Helen served in the U.S. Medical Corp. during WWII from 1943 until 1946.  She was a member of the AMVETS Post #27, the American Legion Post 181, and a life member of the VFW Post 1078.


Prayer Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Father Paul Fahrbach as Celebrant, burial will follow in Oceola Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Crawford Co.
