Hascal Ray Witten

Hascal Ray Witten, 76 of Bucyrus passed away at the home of his son Michael in Ontario, Ohio on Wednesday June 17, 2026. Ray was born August 30, 1949 in Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Hascal and Elizabeth Ann (Liles) Witten. He was also preceded in death by brother Rodney Witten and sister Joyce Brown.

Ray is survived by his former wife Shirley (Rittenberry) Witten of Ontario; son Michael (Amanda) Witten of Ontario; daughter Amber (William Spiegel) Nickelson of Upper Sandusky; Jason Cress who was like a son; grandchildren Zayden, Emmitt, Dallas, and Koah; brothers Steve (Reba) Witten and Frank (Carla) Witten; sisters Beth (John) Omweg of PA and Sara (Raymond) Dauchenbaugh of Bucyrus.

Ray was a graduate of Wynford High School in 1968. He retired from Peabody as a welder after working there for over 25 years. Ray enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles as well doing mechanical work in the garage. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Hager officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
