Genevie Johnson

Biography:  Genevie Johnson, 73 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday evening at 10:55 pm.  Genevie was born Nov. 13, 1939 in Lewis Co., KY to the late Kelly and Marlie (Zornes) Bloomfield.  She was married May 10, 1959 to Leslie E. Johnson who preceded her in death on March 3, 1996.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Bud and David as well as two infant sisters. 
Genevie is survived by children Rick Johnson, Galion; Craig Johnson, Bucyrus; Leslie (Albert) Prine, Bucyrus; grandchildren Eddie, Kelly, Jenny, and Michael; step grandchildren Christopher, Jennifer, and Jessica; great grandchildren Desi and Kristen; brother Don Bloomfield, Sulphur Springs; and sisters Mary Shuster of Kenton and Helen Frazier of Bucyrus.
Genevie retired from Rego and enjoyed gospel music, sewing, and her pet dog “Pepper”.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.  The family suggests memorials be made through the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
