Gary Michael Haldeman

Biography: Gary Michael Haldeman, 39 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday January 16, 2022 at Marion General Hospital following a 3 week illness.  Gary was born December 21, 1982 in Marion to Randy and Debbie (Burky) Haldeman who survive in Bucyrus.  Gary was married June 23, 2010 to Chan Bao "Bibi" (Nguyen Tang Le) Haldeman who also survives.  In addition, Gary is survived by daughter Lainey Tam Nhien Haldeman; brother Tyler (Ellen) Haldeman of Bucyrus; sister Amanda (Francisco) Saucedo of Toledo; nieces and nephew Arya, Lyanna, Lukas, and Hannah; paternal grandmother Elizabeth "Betty" Haldeman; maternal step grandmother Wilma Burky; his father and mother in law Hai Tang Nguyen and Tuyet Thi Ngoc Le; brother in law Ben Nguyen Tang Le; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 
Gary was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Norman Haldeman; maternal grandparents Orval and Joan Burky; and uncle Gary Haldeman. 

Gary graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 2001 and was a graduate of O.S.U. Magna Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Development. He was a teacher and more recently involved with property management.  Gary was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and enjoyed many things that included reading, Sci-fi, going to auctions, movies, fishing, collecting rocks and going to Cedar Point to ride roller coasters with his daughter, and weekend trips.  Gary was very much involved with his family's activities. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday at 11:00 am in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Paul Fahrbach as Celebrant.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral.  The Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6:45 pm.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Lowe Volk Nature Center through the funeral home.
