Franklin Christopher Shafer Whitaker

Biography:  Franklin Christopher Shafer Whitaker, 44 of Galion passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Mansfield Med Cental.  He was born March 18, 1972 in Bucyrus to the late Franklin Carty and Gloria Jean (Whitaker) Smith who survives in Galion.  He was married Sept. 22, 2006 to Christina (Rivers) Whitaker who survives.  Franklin is also survived by children Deseree, Legacy, Drake, Blake, Colton, and Jasmine; 1 granddaughter Kinsley; and close friends Jane and Dan Russ and Janet Rita.
Franklin graduated from Colonel Crawford H.S. in 1990.  He drove school bus, worked for NAPA in Mansfield, and drove truck for several years.  Franklin loved cars and music, was an avid mechanic, and enjoyed the internet and computer.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Dalrymple officiating, burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
