Eugene E. Hurrell Jr.

Eugene E. Hurrell Jr., 81, of Bucyrus passed away December 31, 2022 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Eugene was born June 7, 1941 in Galion, Ohio to the late Eugene Hurrell Sr., and Berniece (Cotsmire) Hurrell. Eugene married Verna (Lewis) February 9, 1962. Eugene is preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter Melissa Inman and sister Evelyn Ekleberry.

Gene is survived by his daughter Karen (Jon) Wurm of Bucyrus, grandchildren Pat (Brittany) Wurm, Chris (Katie) Wurm, Zach (Tessa) Wurm, Andy and Jessica Inman, and great grandchildren Jett, Elsie, Eli, Lola and Myles.

Gene worked at Swan Rubber for 44 years before retiring. He was a member of the Whetstone Township Fire Department for years. Gene enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandkids sporting events. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and camping.

The family will receive friends 12PM-1PM Wednesday January 4,2023. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials can be left to the Crawford County Humane Society Moments of remembrance can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com.
