Ernest John Vaughan

Ernest John Vaughan, age 61, passed away at home surrounded by family October 9, 2023. Ernie was born to Ernest Vaughan and Hazel (Howell) Waldrop, July 22, 1962 in Galion Ohio. Ernie was preceded in death by his father; wife, Linda Vaughan; and brother, Johnny Vaughan. 

Ernest is survived by mother, Hazel Waldrop; brother, Dan (Cari) Vaughan; longtime girlfriend, Sharon Thoman; aunt Pansy Damron, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. 

Ernie was a graduate of Galion Senior High. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, he wouldn’t miss watching a game. He and Sharon created Buckeye necklaces to share with friends and family. He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, loved playing cards, and attending auctions. He never knew a stranger and could usually light up a room with smiles and laughter. He was a member of the Bucyrus VFW Post 1078.
