Edwin A. Schnabel

Biography: Edwin A. Schnabel, 80 of Bucyrus passed away early Tuesday morning in Med Central Hospital, Mansfield.  He was born Oct. 26, 1932 in Bucyrus to the late Fred C. and Ella M. (Bogan) Schnabel.  On Jan. 8, 1955 he married Joanna (Sapp) Schnabel who preceded him in death on June 22, 2000.  In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by brother Samuel and sisters Jeannette Noggle, Lois Cass, and Virginia Hubbert.

Edwin is survived by his children, Rick (Wanda) Schnabel, and Cindy (Rodney) Albright all of Bucyrus; his grandchildren, Matthew (Erin) Schnabel of Delaware, Renee (Ernie) Beck of Cincinnati, Ryan and Kaylee Albright both of Bucyrus; his great grandchildren, Shawn and Gabby; sister in law Mary Jo Schnabel of Bucyrus as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Edwin lived his entire life in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1951.  Edwin retired from the Timken Company after over 30 years of service.    He was a Korean War Army Veteran serving with the Bravo Company 32nd Med Tank BN. and a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.  He formerly was a Cub Scout Leader.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Hasenauer officiating, burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  Military Services will be provided by the American Legion Post 181 Honor Guard.  Memorials may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund of Good Hope or WOW and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
