Edward F. Martin

Edward F. Martin, 80 of Nevada, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 6, 2025, at home. Ed was born October 13, 1944, in Van Port, Oregon to the late Floyd and Amy Martin. He was married April 4, 1991, to Virginia “Ginny” (Powers) Martin who survives. Ed is also survived by children Amie (Dave) Gilliam of Mansfield, Brenda Martin of Mansfield, Eddie Martin Jr. of Willard, and Josh Martin of Marion; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Riley Ricky Martin of West Virginia; sister in laws Lynn Friend, Kelly Jo Beeman, and Misty Myers; and his pet dogs Jackie and Sam. In addition to Ed’s parents, he was preceded in death by son Eddie Dean.

Ed moved to the Mansfield area at an early age and lived in this area most of his life. He owned and operated his own dump truck for several years. Ed enjoyed yard work and raising a garden. He attended the Emmanual United Church of Christ (The Mudd Church), Upper Sandusky.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday August 13, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm in the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church fellowship hall in Oceola. The Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
