Edith L. Honaker

Biography:  Edith L. Honaker, age 81, passed away surrounded by family January 9, 2017.  Edith was born to the late Clarence and Ulma (Smith) Kimberlin December 20, 1935 in Bonny Blue, Virginia. Edith is preceded in death by parents, first husband Oliver Skidmore and second husband Thomas Honaker as well as 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Edith is survived by sons, Eddie Ray (Valerie) Skidmore and Teddy Windell Skidmore; daughter, Deb "BB" Skidmore-Gilliland; many grandkids and great grandkids as well as several nieces and nephews.
   
Edith worked with Swan Rubber for 18 years before going to assist with In Home Care. Edith was a member of VFW 1078 and the American Legion. Edith considered her most treasured hobby was taking care and giving comfort, laughter, and love to those around her.


 Visiting hours will be Monday January 16 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The service will follow calling hours at 1:00PM. Pastor Bernie France is officiating services, burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Home Care Matters Hospice.
