Biography: Douglas E. Kirk, 71 of Bucyrus passed away at Bucyrus Community Hospital on Tuesday January 14, 2020 following a brief illness. Doug was born January 8, 1949 in Bucyus to the late Lyle E. and Norrene J. (Snavely) Kirk. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Gary L. Kirk and sister Darlene Kirk.
Doug is survived by daughters Eva Leach of Shreveport, LA and Rhonda Wells of Arlington TX; 3 grandchildren; brother Jerry (Rita) Kirk of Bucyrus and sister Karen (Henry) Zier of Crestline.
Doug worked at various factories in the area and at Geyer's in the meat department. He graduated from Wynford H.S. in 1967. Doug enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, playing ping pong, hunting mushrooms, crossword Puzzles, reading the Bible, eating out at restaurants, listening to music, and the radio Coast to Coast and Ground Zero.
A graveside burial will be held in Oceola Cemetery at a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
